I just got rid of my banner by using this code:

#sys_banner {
display:none;
}

But it has a big obnoxious grey bar there now. How can I get rid of it?

Hi James,

Try this in your CSS over-rides if you have Silver. ( I have removed the background image)

div.page_header_overlay {
background-attachment:initial;
background-clip:initial;
background-color:transparent;
background-image:none;
background-origin:initial;
background-position:0 0;
background-repeat:repeat repeat;
display:block;
height:100%;
left:0;
margin-bottom:0;
margin-left:auto;
margin-right:auto;
margin-top:0;
min-height:100%;
position:absolute;
top:0;
width:100%;
z-index:-1;
}

James,

Want to learn some tricks?

Download FireBug for fireFox or Firebug light for chrome. Then learn about it by browsing tutorials on youTube. It's a fantastic tool and allows you to see effects before you commit to changes of code.

Chrome also has "Developer Tools" and it is essentially the same beast
