Thanks Ken.
I finished the site yesterday and published it then; it is now in limbo somewhere unknown. The upper right button now says "Update My Site" with no option to publish.

you actually don't have to click save page first... if you click publish site, it'll ask you if you'd like to save the page... same thing if leaving the page to go to another one, just click on the other page and it'll prompt you to save the page... if you publish a lot or go back and forth a lot, it can actually save a lot of time.

Thanks Donald. I have found a Cdn host and will be transferring the page there. I won't be publishing a lot- this is an agonizing process; 2 days wasted so far just trying to get this thing up and running. Yola was the best part by far.

Hi Mooseman,

Are you asking how to put your site live on the internet?

To publish your site, click on the big yellow "Publish My Site" button at the top of the page. You will be given three choices for publishing your site:

1. You can buy a custom (or dotcom) domain name from Yola. The cost is US$19.95 per domain per year, and includes automatic setup and hosting. In this case, your website's address will look like this: www.yourdomain.com, www.yourdomain.net, www.yourdomain.org or www.yourdomain.biz - the choice is yours.
* To purchase a custom domain name through Yola, select the "Buy my own domain name" option.
* Type in the domain name that you wish to buy. A quick search will be done, letting you know if this domain name is available or not. Then click on "Next".
* Choose your options. You can purchase more than one domain and you can pay for more than one year. You also have the option to pay for domain privacy so that your details are not publically available.
* Please fill in the form required (we need this information in order to register the domain name on your behalf), and you will be taken through the steps to purchase your own domain name.
* Please note, it can take up to 48 hours for domain names to be transferred and your site to be up and running.

2.Publish your site using a free SynthaSite subdomain name. In this case your website's address will look like this: http://yourdomain.synthasite.com
* To publish to a free subdomain name, click on "Use a free SynthaSite subdomain", type the domain name you would like to use into the box provided.
* Then, if it is available, click "Next". Your site will then be published and will be available immediately on the internet.

3. You can publish your site using a domain name that you already own.
* If you have a domain you have purchased elsewhere, please click here for a tutorial on how to set it up to point to your Yola website: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/publish...
* After clicking on "Publish my Site", click on "I already own a domain name" and follow the steps until your site is published.

Please let us know if this does not answer your question, or if we can help you with anything else.

Thanks Ken. Same result here. I have cancelled my previous provider (dotCanada) and would like to go with Yola f it can support a Canadian site using the ".ca" designator.

Well, I guess that makes you the neighbour to the north...west. I am miles south of you. Spent last June to March in Fort Sask and then in Sask itself. Great country. Not a gamer but will check it out.

Hi Mooseman

Unfortunately Yola is unable to host .ca domains at this time. You will need to keep your domain with your current registrar and point it to your Yola site by creating an A record for our IP address: 208.75.208.172

See this tutorial for instructions: http://tinyurl.com/cff28b

If you have any difficulty sorting this out, please let us know.
