I'm an amazon.com affiliate and I'm trying to make a link from a book title directly to the amazon.com page of the book.

Where do I paste the code that amazon gives me?

Hello Gina,

You can do this with a text link, and it's pretty simple to do. Here is a link to a tutorial with more information on how this is done: Creating Links.

Hope this helps!

That's what I've been doing, (selecting the text - and making sure it corresponds exactly to the link - then clicking on "link", pasting the amazon link into the URL (external) box, clicking OK, then Save, then Publish) -- but it doesn't work.

When I do it this way I get a broken link message from Google.

But it works perfectly if I paste the code directly into the HTML.

Can you clear up this mystery?

Hi Gina,

We're happy to take a look at it if you want to pass your URL along.

Gina, I just did a quick test and it seemed to work fine in a text box using the external URL for the link code.

Would you mind sharig your site with the page where it isn't working?
