The instructions say:
---------
If your site is published to a subdomain, click on the down-arrow next to "Publish to the web" to open the Publishing Settings and publish your site to a domain you already own.
-------
but I don't see a down-arrow next to the "publish to the web" button!

Hi SarongO,

May I ask if you have purchased a custom domain separately and if so was this from Yola or another registrar. I think this issue is easily fixed. Gop.

OK. There is one thing you can do to check and that is in My Yola scroll down to Domains and click on that. It should show your purchased domain in the list.

If it doesn't please send an email to support@yola.com with your receipt or whatever and let them know. There are issues with the servers at this time so it may be delayed or caught up for a little bit. You can also let me know the domain name and I can check it out from here with a whois query.

If the domain is listed as I suggested then this probably means that there is some delay in the handling of the info and worthwhile checking again shortly.

Hello Sarongkopen.nl

I'm sorry, the tutorial text is a bit out of date. Did you buy your custom domain from Yola? If so, you won't need to wait and you will be able to assign your custom domain to your website on your My Yola dashboard.
  1. Please go to your My Yola and select the site you want to add your domain to.

  2. Click on "Advanced Settings" next to your website's name.

Now you will be taken to a page where you can assign domains to your website. For detailed information please see our tutorial Assigning domains and creating a primary domain.

Please let us know if you need further assistance with this.

Yes you can do that safely.

You can also set the sub-domain as a secondary domain which means that if someone types in your 'old address" they will be automatically directed to your new domain. This strategy is used when you already have a considerable following on your sub-domain. Just means that creatures of habit don't get ignored :) and the numbers keep climbing from the time you switched rather than going down again to base.
