Hello Dylan,

The easiest way is to create a site in your sitebuilder and add the Tumblr widget to your page. Then bring in your Tumblr blog onto that page by using the Tumblr widget in the sitebuilder.

You won't have to point your domain to other servers and the Widget allows users to access your Tumblr by typing in your custom domain URL.

Thanks for your advice, I did try that. However I really like the design and interface of my Tumblr and would really like to keep it, just with the custom domain.

Hi Dylan,

This requires that you point an A record to Tumblr servers IP: 66.6.44.4. Ref: http://www.tumblr.com/docs/en/custom_...

To do this using Yola's DNS management facility then see their Tutorial: Adding A Records

Thanks for the links :) I have followed the instructions and it seems to be working more than before at least, it also tells me that I may have to wait 48-72 hours to see my desired result also, so I guess it's a waiting game!

Don't forget to unpublish your yola built site as the domain may show as a cached version of your yola site.

I can also see an A record as well as your CNAME record and this may be a problem. The Tumblr instructions says one or the other and I don't know the effect of having both. The A record is presumably associated with GBBO(?) I would try to remove the A record.

I have tried updating both and it says:

Your domain is pointing to Tumblr!

If you don't see your site or the Tumblr home page when you visit the domain in your browser, the DNS record might need more time to propagate. This process can take up to 72 hours.

So I will just keep waiting as it is still taking me to the website.

Okay it is now working when I go to: dylansharp.co.uk, but not www.dylansharp.co.uk, and I have set the settings for both A records AND the CNAME.
Can anyone help? :)

Hi Dylan

I've just checked your website by using the URL with and without www, and it's always the same website that comes up. It seems to be a Tumblr site as it has the typical Tumblr links in the top right corner, and the heading says "Dylan Sharp". Is that what you expect to see?

Thanks a lot for replying, sorry I didn't close the thread after I fixed it.
The issue has been resolved and it's working correctly :)
