Hi there,

Currently there is no way to do this - all of your published SynthaSite is available publically. We have plans to allow you to share parts or all of your site with a closed group, even to the point of collaborations as fellow authors.

If you have any feedback on features that would be good to have then we would be very interested to hear that.

Would you want to maintain a list of members who are allowed to see your website or would it be sufficient to have a password-protected site?

Yes, this is one of the first features I looked for. I wanted to add a calendar widget, but I'm hesitant if all the world can see it. Thanks for working on this new feature

I have a password protected area on my site.
Check it out at http://rflogic.synthasite.com/

You can get the html code from this link

hope this helps

I'd like to do this too.
I put a basic html password script into one page but it's easy to bypass the password by viewing the source - that way users you don't want can access the pages you want to keep private and see the password you've set. Adrian's site's got the same problem I'm afraid.
Any timescale on the SynthaSite password-protection solution?
Excellent service by the way. This would be the cherry on the cake!

Hi maricliffeadmin,

We don't like to put a time frame on things in case we run into unforseen technical difficulties and then end up disappointing our users, but I can tell you that it is not too far away.

This feature does require a significant amount of coding and we thank you for your patience while we work on providing this for you.

I'm very glad you are enjoying SynthaSite!

I would love to see this feature too, as I'd like most of my site to be password protected.

Hi Cool One,
Just a heads up to say that Password protection is now available.
It gives you the option to password protect a page when you now make a new one. You can also can the Password Protection options in the 'Site Manager' tab. Hope this helps!

Hi there General...

You could try a Widgetbox widget at the following link and in the "Change button text" box change it to (Enter password) or (Who goes there) and as well change the "Change prompt message" to password accepted or something along those lines. Put the "Password Redirection URL" to whatever page you wish to secure your information.

http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/passw...

once you have it looking as you like with all your edits then click the green (Get widget) button to copy the code that you will insert into the Widgetbox widget you drag onto your web page.

Been 12 years next month since I left the Marines and still to this day I can recall using the password of the day...Sad huh... just kidding

looks like General already found an answer to his Codeword crisis and deleted his question... But if he is still interested I left my answer up for him to see.
