The photos I scan & download as jpegs look good, but photoshop files saved as jpegs loose sharpness. What settings should I use in photoshop "save as" so they look good on the web? Is jpeg what I want? (The "save for web" option looked real bad.)
Hi Guido Graphics, if you choose a save to web option, the program will automatically save a low resolution image, when you choose to save as jpeg/gif /png or anything else, you need to concentrate on the number of pixels, you should be able to find an option to set them manually, if you need the image to display quite large on the screen (say 6inchesx 6inches), then I recommend around 1000pixels width x 1000pixels height. Remember, the higher resolution of the image, the longer it will take other people to download your page.
