Hi there,

I am going to try help you with this as much as I can even though I have not published a podcast myself on iTunes.

Firstly you need to read the Apple spec at and to make sure you understand a bit more about the process.

Then, create your actual podcast and upload it to your SynthaSite website. Keep in mind you max upload file size is 5 megs.

Once you've done this, use the File Widget and link to your podcast file (I'll explain why in minute)

At this point, you will need to publish your site so that you can get the url that links directly to your podcast file. Go to the published site (eg. and click on the file widget you pasted and copy its Url.

After you've done this, go to the first link I gave you and copy that example feed out and paste it in a text editor (Not MS Word) and edit the info as directed.
Edit the example itunes feed to reflect your podcast information and paste the url or your podcast (the url you get after clicking on the file widget) in "enclosure url".

To add an image to the "itunes:image" tag, you can upload an image to your SynthaSite and use a url similar to the following:
replace "xxxxxxx" with your subdomain and with the file name of the image you uploaded.

Save this file as "podcast.xml" and upload it to your SynthaSite.

Now, click on and enter your website url as follows:
Replace "xxxxxxx" with your sub-domain name.

That's all there is to it I think. If you want to add more pod-casts, your simply upload the podcast file and edit the podcast.xml file to reflect the new entry.

Very important that the

pair of tags indicate a single podcast, so when adding a new one, you copy those tags and everything between them and paste them underneath the last "entry" pair.

I hope this helps,
Let me know if you get stuck and I'll try help you as much as I can.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. What you are requesting right now is not available at Yola, however, I will gladly pass it along for future consideration!
