How do you add new items via the online store onto separate pages?

Hi, Having read the PDF instructions I seem to have missed something - although I'm sure it's simple! Using the online store, how do I place several (unique) different items onto separate pages as whatever I add all gets grouped together so the same items keep on appearing (being duplicated) on whatever page I drag the online store logo widget. For example, I wish to have a selection of tableware items on the 'partyware' page and games order on the 'outdoor' games page etc. Or simply put, when I drag the onstore widget across to a different page where I want to show new products, it's loading all previous items rather than being to add alternative ones. I hope this makes sense! Thank you. Regards, Marc

Hello marc,

If you classify your products into categories then you can select a specific category only to your page..This is done by using the category list within the online store widget, there's a drop down list of categories accessible.

You can add specific products to your page but this is a tedious process as it requires adding the product in a different way. This is generally reserved for single items that you wish to ultra-promote on a breaking special page :)

If you need specific details for this please let us know here.

Hi Gop,

I'm still having real problems assigning items under a category to enable it to go onto a different page. I've tried classifying items under 'root' and 'sub', hoping that a category will drop down when I'm editing and trying to show the items. When I click on the 'categories to show' box, 'all products' shows up and nothing else, so I can't add the specific item and all items are included on all pages instead of the specific ones I need. I'm obviously missing something very simple here! Thanks for your help. Regards, Marc

Hi Marc,

First up if you are using IE10 then this has some problems similarly Safari. If you are using one of these then please switch to FireFox or Chrome and recheck.

If this isn't applicable then clear your browser cache and recheck.

Next in line for the inquisition :) Navigate to your Online Store tab in the sitebuilder and select Categories. If you can do a screen capture and either post it here or send it to me at: gop@designscent.com I can check to see if the categorisation looks OK or if there are any obvious issues at that level.

Marc I'm sure we'll get this sorted but it maybe a to and fro process. I'm happy to stay with it until we get it fixed so please feel free to keep coming back if needed.
