The broken glass image could we say frame the image with a white border? have the background image for the glass in black and that way with the brick background of the template it will look like a window smashing? or rather that's the idea lol

Yes. I know this doen't mean anyhting to you yet but it will as you learn Gimp but I will create the image with layers which allows easy chnaging of colours and elements if something crops up and needs to be replaced with something else.
I just though of something quirky: If you imagine that you are looking at the window from inside, because the brick wall is on the outside, then a reverse text would fit the bill. Once again I can do this and replace it if not.

Nice slide show. I'll send you the transparent background images if you want. Send me an email at gop@designscent.com and I'll respond there.

Probably can depends I guess. You would replace your old ones with the new so there wouldn't be any more images added.

What do you mean a reverse text? Would you still be able to read the text?

It was good fun playing and learning it as I went. I tried it with a white border but it just washed out the subtle colour contrasts and sort of overwhelms the grunginess of the atmosphere. Personal opinion only

It does look good. You found a winner on that one I think.
If you send me the rest of your machine images used in your slide show what I can do is drop a brick background behind them and that will overcome the problem of the stark white.
You can send them to me by email or do what you did for the others and I'll process them.

I've done the images. They are presented as jpg and they are of 900 x 500 px so easily reduced to your preferred size.
Send me an email to gop@designscent.com and I'll send them to you as an email attachment by return email.

Here's the code for dropping the nav onto the splatter:
div.ys_nav ul {
list-style-image:initial;
list-style-position:initial;
list-style-type:none;
margin-bottom:0;
margin-left:0;
margin-right:0;
padding-bottom:0;
padding-left:10px;
padding-right:10px;
padding-top:45px;
text-align:right;
}

This bit will go into an HTML widget on your hme page only.
It gets rid of that small piece of splatter that sits there doing nothing
Think I've found the problem with your invalid DIV's. can you tell me a few DIV ID's that it throws up at you as being invalid?

They need to be reduced as they preload and they are big files. It will take a long time for many people to open your homepage.
I would also configure it the same as your previous show same physical size and proportions. That was ideal I think. the black end lines are really not a good look.
have a look at your last images find out the file size and the image dimensions. That will give you all you need to make the changes.
