If you need support from Yola please contact us via email@example.com or make use of our live chat service! We are working on a new approach to community-based support and during this transition period we are not adding any new threads to this forum. Many thanks to everyone who has participated over the years and we look forward to unveiling a new peer-to-peer support system soon!
The style that you have selected to some extent determines what you see and what you can chnage. If you can tell me the style you have chosen or the published link of your site then I can look at this with you.
Placing an image in the header is quite easy. The first thing to do is to have the final image already created for the size you wish for it to be displayed. Don'y try and use the Yola image facility, Aviary, for this but rather another facility such as Pixlr.com, Gimp or Photoshop or similar image manipulation programs.
Placing it in the heading is done by using HTML and I'm happy to lead you through this.
As Gop says, this all depends on the style you select.
When selecting your style, hover the mouse over a style and a dialog box will appear telling you the features, including if it has a editable banner.
If you wish to use your own banner, hover the mouse over the page heading and select 'Edit Heading'. Remove all text then click save. Then hover over the whole banner area and click 'Edit Banner Image'. Then it's as simple as uploading your own.
As far as changing the background behind the menu links, some styles this will already have a special box or background behind the links, which you'd need to change using CSS. However some, (such as the style 'Clean Slate', just show the background color or image, so you could create a background image which takes the location of the menu into account.
