Hi Yola
Can I first thank you for your great site builder and easy to use software it has been really easy making my website. I am strugling to set up a bing webmaster account as they require me to verify my site. I know of 2 ways of doing this, you can use site tracking codes in site settings. Or you can edit custom css and use aan overide. But for both of these you need to be a yola silver member! Can you tell me if there is any other way to fix this for me?
Thanks
Adam

Hi, Adam,

You can try just placing the meta tag code in an HTML Widget at the top of your page. Perhaps one of our users has another suggestion.

I tried copying the whole of the meta tag at the top of the page in the HTML widget. I'm not sure I put it in the wrong place or I need to copy a particular part of the code but it still did not verify! Thank you for your help so far Diane!

Hi, Adam,

Can you please share your url so we can take a look at the code? I'm afraid using the HTML widget is not guaranteed to work as the head code is better for this but we can check to see that the code is correct at least.

Hi, Adam,

I'm actually not seeing the code in the source code. So it either didn't save properly or you have deleted it?

This might help...Bing is offering a third verification option that will allow you to place a discrete CNAME record to your DNS to validate a domain as well.
