Hello chatroomchatters,

Are you wondering about completely transferring a domain to Yola, or about using a domain that you have purchased elsewhere for a site you have built with Yola?

Unfortunately at this time it is not possible to completely transfer a domain to Yola, this is something we are hoping to offer in the future. You can however use a domain that you have purchased elsewhere for your site by editing your domain settings. Here is a link to a tutorial with information on how to do this: Using a domain not purchased from Yola.

Please let me know if this doesn't answer your question and I will further assist.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Thanks, Emmy! I purchased a domain from GoDaddy about a month ago and on the advice of some friends, built my website on Yola. I'm wondering how to populate my domain with the website I built. The domain is www.noblessesolutions.com. Additionally, I'm trying to tie an email account to the website. I really don't have any additional info. As you can see, I'm a novice at websites! Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi Tara,
You can use a domain purchased from GoDaddy to publish your site built with Yola. Here is a link to a tutorial which will help you with this process: Configuring your GoDaddy domain. To have email associated with your domain, you need domain management. If you buy your domain from Yola, we can assist you with email set up for your domain, however, if your domain is managed elsewhere, your domain registrar needs to provide you with this so you would need to contact GoDaddy.

The other option would be to completely transfer your domain to Yola then you would not need to do the domain configuration and we would be your domain name manager and could assist you with email setup. Here is a like to a tutorial if that is the route you would like to go: Transferring your domain to Yola.

I hope this will be helpful :)

Emmy, I thank you so much. I'm going to try to use the domain to publish with my site built with Yola. If it doesn't work, I'm going to transfer the lot over to you (just don't have a whole lot of $$$ right now). You are awesome!
