Anyone with opinions on publishing free content articles on your website please comment . Is this a good idea or should one try to write original content for their site . Comments appreciated . Thanks

great idea. I think you can do this through various blogging channels and I'm sure there are latent writers here.

From my general reading it seems that it's good cudos and great SEO points for writers to either write as a guest writer or allow republishing in a specific blog.within their area of knowledge. Find a writer or blog that you feel is good. Contact teh writer and see what they feel about it.

Would you need to define the areas of interest?

I hope you can work through this as I think it can and will most likely be a success. There may be a time delay but hang in there.

Good luck.

Hi Bob,
Another way to get free content for you site is to use articles from article directories. There are many of these that allow you to use the articles on your site as long as you include the Author Bio (giving the author credit). Here are a few good ones:

Idea Marketers
Ezine Articles

It is always good to have some original content on your site as this is better for search engine optimization.

Another option would be to pay a ghost writer to write some original web content for you. There are many freelance websites such as and where you can hire someone.

Hope this helps a bit!

There are many free sites with articles.....They only ask that you give credit by adding the name and the links the authors have included....I have used these two for some content I needed.... and ....I do enjoy writing but I know when to defer to those that know a subject much better than I do.

Hi Bob,
A great way to get free content (and avoid possible backlash with copyright) is to look for sites that are licensed with Creative Commons licenses.
They are a great organization that is trying to make it easier for people to share and build on each others work.

CC has easy-to-read licenses and you can tell quickly if the person will let you use, remix or just view the info on their sites by looking at their license.

Here is a link to Creative Commons so you can see what badges to look out for. (you can also search on the CC site for licensed work in Google, Yahoo, Flickr etc)

Just remember to check which license you are dealing with :)

Hi Bob, I know its not exactly what you asked for but remember that a good relevant RSS feed is a way to add new and fresh content to you site (without having to type)
You can find relevant RSS feed locations by searching 'your site topic' & 'RSS'
Adding a RSS feed to your synthasite is easy, in your site editor, drag in a RSS reader widget and add the feed loaction.
Sites want you to have their feeds on your site as they create a backlink, search engines love them and your site viewers love new content. win-win situation.
