I purchased the domain name through Yola and I'm trying to switch the website that it is attached to. It seems I am having trouble because the site that I now want to point the domain to is a free site versus the current yola silver account that I'm using. Can anyone help?

Hello Dnett,

First of all, in order to use your own domain, your second account will also need to be Yola Silver status. Once you have Yola Silver status on your second account, then you can just unpublish the original domain and then republish your other site to your domain name.

I hope that makes sense! Please let me know if further clarification is needed.

Hello Mike,

Transferring a domain (for example: can be done easily. Transferring a site file (eg:Happy Days in Happy Valley )is not a service that is routinely offered by Yola.

You will need to contact Yola through their Contact Form below (in footer under Need help? using the same email addresses that you registered your Yola accounts with. This allows for account validation . Both accounts will need to be paid subscription accounts and the domain will need to be current.
