How is Google Page Ranking Effected when Using Tal.ki, Nabble, and Other Embeddable Widget's/Content

I'm using Nabble embeddable forum in one of my sites. I like using it, but how does this effect my traffic? I have a question regarding this subject. Are the "widgets"/content hosted on other sites, and if so, will this effect my traffic? In other words will web visitors participation in these Widgets on my site benefit me or the Widget's site (if it is hosted elsewere)?

You can improve your pagerank even your site hosted on clusted method.
For an example ,
my site - www.techrome.com is hosted on US servers, and my site's data files stored on my company's server(in sri lanka)

if your Yolasite hosted on yola ip - 208.75.208.172 and the blog of your site - blog.example.com hosted on a Blogger server ,(ghs.google.com) it do not affect your ranking in Google.
-for more , visit googleblog.blogspot.com - official google blog.

Alexa, Yahoo , Bing and Google treats the domain name and subdomains in the same mind.
Google offers same pagerank for both yoursite.yolasite.com and mysite.yolasite.com
that is why Google likes Blogspot and wordpress blogs.

Embeding a forum means you put an iframe to your site and showing up content of another site at your site without having to expose the real Domain.

Search engine spiders can't crawl any content INSIDE of flash , images and iframes.(flash 8 has an extension to make text readable to Bots)

when google come and crawl your forum , it simply skips your iframe 'FORUM' and finishes its job on your site. Later , Googlebot will come to your forum hoster's site and finds the forum.
Ah... Good content ! Updating !
Google bot will improve their Pagerank.

Simply , answer is your site do not get a higher page rank if you added a forum.

If your forum has more than a huge set of human members , and have tons of topics , contact your forum's host to upgrade your account and point A/CNAME Records at your older forum.
Then , they will make your forum available at something.yoursite.tld

then , Google bot will do a favour to your site and increase your pagerank.

Good luck!

Ayesh,

Thank you for your response. It is very insightful. I have a couple of questions. First, what do the following statements you made in your reply mean:

1. Google offers same pagerank for both yoursite.yolasite.com and mysite.yolasite.com that is why Google likes Blogspot and wordpress blogs.
2. ...contact your forum's host to upgrade your account and point A/CNAME Records at your older forum. Then , they will make your forum available at something.yoursite.tld

Thanks,
One Love

Sanja & Ayesh,

I didn't hear back from you regarding this topic. Can you do so when you have a moment? Thanks!!

Everyone,

Is there a way to create pages where users can submit there own content (i.e., forum, Craigslist type ads, wiki's, etc.)? The catch is that I want the content they submit to be seen by the search engine spiders so that the content they leave will help my site rank higher. Any ideas?

Thanks,
One Love

Hi Bob,
1. I meant that updating your site in a subdomain will increase your site's page rank too !.
For an example , wordpress.Com offers blogging using the wordpress.com subdomain which will increase pagerank for
subdomain1.wordpress.com and www.wordpress.com.(not for subdomain2.wordpress.com)

2. I really do not use tal.Ki forum , but there is a way to let PEOPLE to increase ur PR.(post2host services are depends on people's forum posts)
embeding your forum using an iframe do not increase ur PR. There should be some plans in tal.Ki to upgrade your account (may be free!) to use "custom domain" feature.
Go to there(you may need to upgrade your account) and set up a custom domain like forum.mysite.com , bb.mysite.com , go.techrome.com , etc.
Then , change your DNS settings to point forum.mysite.com , to the path shows in tal.Ki

after it has done , search results will show up forum topics like
forum.mysite.com/2010/8/welcome-to-techrome.php

(not like www.Tal.Ki/c19/igotherer/free/forum/2... )

people can visit forum directly through forum.mysite.com

you can still show your forum that was showing IN YOUR YOLASITE)

hope these helps,
to short URLs , http://go.techrome.com

Hi Ayesh,

Thanks for explaining more on this subject. I don't know that I totally understand what you said so I'll relay back to you what I think I do understand.

1.1. You said,"I meant that updating your site in a subdomain will increase your site's page rank too !"

I don't understand what you mean by saying that I should "update" my site in a "subdomain". Can I/Do I perform this on Yola?

1.2 You said, "For an example , wordpress.Com offers blogging using the wordpress.com subdomain which will increase pagerank for
subdomain1.wordpress.com and www.wordpress.com.(not for subdomain2.wordpress.com) ".

Ayesh, I understand that you are saying that when I open a "Blogging Account" on wordpress.com, I will be building up a better ranking for my page/account on wordpress.com's site as the content is on their site/domain. Therefore, by doing this I will increase their rankings. Is this correct or do I have it wrong? Doesn't this defeat my desire of having a forum that would build my website rankings? I would like to have my blog, forum or classified ad contributors bring my site higher rankings instead of building another site on the web.

If I can't embed a widget like these on my page and benefit from what my visitor's write, then how can I have Web 2.0 content enabling (i.e., blog, forum or classified ad, etc.) better ranking for my site? Do you think this is possible on Yola? Is there some free software online somewhere that I can
upload onto Yola to generate pages that will enable me to publish these type of Web 2.0 pages? Thanks for your insight.

The Best to You,
Bob

You said it correct , on wordpress.

Tal.Ki is not the shining forum host for web sites. There are a lot of forum hosting sites that offers such services that can be used directly on your domain (forum.mysite.com , board.mysite.com)

foroomy.com , hostingdelivered.com are some places to host your own forum in your own domain.

Blogging with yola is a fun stuff for everyone , and also a rich factor for SEO.

You can create a blog page in www.yoursite.com directly using your sitebuilder.

Alternately , it is a good idea to create a blog in a subdomain.

First , go to your DNS management and point www.blog.yoursite.com and blog.yoursite.com to yola ip 208.75.208.172.

Then , create a new site in yola , and add a custom domain blog.yoursite.com.
Then , make your site's blog posts in the subdomain , and add other stuff to your original site.

I'm on the task creating a site for webmasters with forums , articles , whois lookups , Tracerts ,URL shortening and site stats checker(pagerank , yahoo indexed pagerank , etc)

Hi Bob,

Jumping in here a bit late, I was waiting for some input from a colleague. The short answer is pagerank (SEO) will not be positively affected when using embedded third party content, if anything, this will help Nabble, Tal.ki. (the provider of the widget) with link credit if they have placed a link in each forum.

This is a great video that explains link building using embedded content and what Nabble may be trying to do: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/whiteboard....

In terms of how to better your search engine optimization, a blog can definitely be helpful! I would say this is a great place to start!

Hi, I'm from Tal.ki and I just wanted to clear up how a Tal.ki forum can benefit your site.

We have an 'SEO package' as part of our Pro plan which allows you to take advantage of some SEO features for you site. Specifically, we will host the forum on your own subdomain, such as forum.example.com so that your domain gets the page rank (PR) advantage on your own domain. Secondly, when somebody comes from a google search, they will see the full content of your forum and we use javascript to place them onto your site so that they see your full website with the forum inside of it.

To make sure you're getting the full value of SEO from your Tal.ki forum, make sure you upgrade to the Pro package and that you're posting at least two times per day with interesting and unique content (so that google has a reason to index and send visitors to your site).

@tal'ki well then can you please explain where I can find any controls to do so with. I have a tal'ki forum and have upgraded to pro and love the way it fits into my blog/works, however I got up this morning with the intentions of dealing with the SEO package and cannot find anywhere to access anything on the topic. The help forum doesn't return any results and I can't find any kind of form or page on your site to attach a cname or instructions, or even a customer support number, contacts link is a mail:to. So if I can do that, where am I supposed to get started?
