Thought that some of you would be interested in seeing how my cricket website will look after I purchase the premium template called 'Rounded glass'.

Currently the site looks like this:

http://beehivestingers.yolasite.com/m...

Hopefully after a few adjustments and changes to pages that need updating the new site will look something like this:

http://sitebuilder.yola.com/sites/S3/...

Any comments and ideas for improving the new site appreciated!

Thanks

Looks great....Is there a reason orders have to be called in instead of using something like PayPal?

Brilliant!

Thanks for posting the links so we can see the difference. I think you have done a great job and Rounded Glass is a very good choice for your site - goes very well with the color scheme of your logo!

Thanks guys for your comments. I still have a long way to go before I'm happy with the site, but it's suprising what a new template can do for you.

John - At the moment paypal hasn't been considered but it's something I want to look at once everything else has been put in place.

I was also looking at rounded glass - in my opinion the best of the new styles, but unfortunatly my site is just a little wider than the style and every page (312) would need changing... maybe for a new project.

Thanks for sharing.

PS. Improvemnet suggestion.
Instead of adding images and resizing them on the page - resize them with Picnik or something first then add them to the file manager the size you want them on the page - they load much quicker than a rescaled image.

Thanks Lee for that advice. I'll take a look at that this evening. The good think about resizing them all in Picnik too is that the new images are exactly the same size.

I'm still struggling with the squad page. After finally managing to fix the code - thanks to you (haven't had the time to complete the rest as I haven't got the original image - so when I increase the size the quality decreases), I'm wondering whether the new pop up window fits in with the style. I guess I'll have to have a good think about it! LOL

as a rule a small image should never be blown up it looks horrible.
Start with a big image and make it small thats fine.
