How to alter basic page layouts...

I've recently started building a site on Yola, and had a quick question about how to alter some of the basic page layouts. I'm new to website buildig and am probably missing something obvious...

I have on my page a single strip across the top, in which i put my heading. Then directly beneath that, I have the page split into two, where I put some tables (its for a badminton team...)
But I would like to have underneath that, another single strip across the entire page width to write more things in.

How do I do this?

Hi matt.r.skidmore

Yes, it is possible to change the page layout quite easily. The best way for me to show you this is by using screen shots.

When you first create your site, you might see a screen like this...

To change the layout, click on "Layout" and select the 2-over-1 option from the drop-down list:

Your page will then have this layout:

You will then be able to add content in these areas using Text, Picture, Picture Gallery and HTML Widgets, for example.
