How does one change the font for the menu items (i.e about us, services, blog). I would like it to match the font I have selected for the text boxes. Or am I stuck with the font associated with the style.

Hello Precis & Prose,

If you have Yola Silver, you will have access to the Site CSS feature. This will enable you to make the changes desired with the font for your menu items.

If you do have Silver, please can you post your URL and we can assist further.

Kimm,
Will you use your custom font for the menu items?

here's an example of a custom font menu on a Yola free site:

The site http://www.achairtoremember.ca/index2... uses a flash facility. Nt a good thing these days. Very slow loading plus they won't appear on ipads and iphones and android phones. These device types are said to be more popular with users within 2 years than pc's, so I would avoid them.

Anything with a progress bar is likely to be a Flash application.

"Sitting pretty" is using a common slider program and easy for you to locate. If you can locate a specific application and let me know , I can have a look at it with you.

I understand about the flash website. Just a general idea of the kind of drop down menu. I'm not picky on it - anything you think would work best would be great help :)

Hi Kimm

Can you tell me exactly what you would like:

Style
Font (Keep your font to 1 or 2 only because this will impact on the loading time of your site)
If you want or don't want a banner on any specific page.
If you want the page heading within the banner or not if it's different to the default.
The source of the drop down menu. Not a page where it occurs.

What do you mean by style?

Font - for the body text i want to keep it to Trebuchet font and i just want the titles to be Swenson

I just don't want the banner page on the front page

Yes, I want the page heading withing the banner

I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean by source of the drop down menu. I want, for instance, under the menu heading "linens" to have a drop down and have the options, chair covers, chair sashes, table cloths, table runners, table overlays, table skirts, etc. and then you would choose what you want to look at and it goes to that page.

do you need me to tell you the menu title and what drop down options i want?

if you do, here they are

Menu - Linens
Drop Down
Chair Covers
Accessories
Chair Sashes
Table Cloths
Table Skirts
Table Runners
Table Overlays
Napkins

Menu - Decorations
Centerpieces
Cake/Cupcake Stand
Candy Buffet
Mirrors
Charger Plates
Paper Lanterns
Other Fun Stuff

And those are the only two that I need to have a drop down option.

OK. understood. Style is the Yola template that you have chosen but you have stated this now so not a problem.

You won't be using any custom fonts other than Swenson?

I have a similar issue. I would like to increase the size of the font on the menu.

I do have a Silver Account. When I changed the CSS code, it changed the pictures on the banners so that they were all identical. Even when I tried to change each one afterwards, they would not appear on the preview (after saving).

Judging on comments above, do I need to publish the site before you can help me? I'd prefer to not to have a incomplete site published, even if it is just the size of the font of the menu.

Thanks.

Hello Aida and samuktha

First of all, when working with the Site CSS, it is important to only add code you want to change to the left override box of the CSS editor. Please don't copy/paste the whole original CSS to edit certain sections. Copy the section you want to change, paste it to the override box, and make your changes.

To assist you in more detail, I would need your URL. If you haven't published, I'd need your login e-mail (no password, please).
