My site is simply not compatible with a Wii. Is there any Wii Browser Detect? I've searched on google but i can't find the answer. I know javascript and html, but the Wii browser simply doesn't seem to have a id(like IE is identified as Microsoft Internet Explorer). I know this is not the case, as many website have pages speacially designed for Wii, and they automatically redirect to that page when you go to the main page. Please help? my site is www.campatet.com.

Heya Kevin -

The Wii uses Opera, so Opera user agent strings should work for a redirect.

Thanks!

But i don't wan't to redirect users who use opera on a normal computer. Those on a normal computer work, it's just the wii that is having compatability issues.

Heya Kevin -

You can google "wii user agent" for more information, but based on everything I've found, the wii browser IS Opera, so it's the only identification it'll give.

Or you may also want to hit up the nintendo support folks, they may have a better answer. We're not really wii experts here :)

Hey,
Just thought I'd say this, my Wii's user agent string is 'Opera/9.00 (Nintendo Wii; U; ; 1309-9; en)' So that should be the case with other Wii's out there :)
