In the past there was a down arrow on the publish button so you could download a zip file...not exactly a back up I know, but kept a copy of the code. Now that has disappeared...looking around on help and forum yesterday I found a snippet of code to paste into the url box of the site builder, but nothing happens. Either I've misunderstood how to use it or it's none functional now.
Reason I'm asking is I'm building a site for someone who's got a bee in his bonnet about a back up copy. I've tried explaining that it cannot help in the unlikely situation of a complete crash and it's pointless, but he insists he feels more comfortable with it.
Any ideas would be gratefully received and thanks for the prompt reply.

Maybe you accidently clicked the wrong thing. Make sure every detail you do is correct when you use codes or refresh (or press f5) then insert the code. :)

Hi
Thanks but it doesn't work. Here's the instructions I'm using, sounds simple enough, but it doesn't work, unless it is silently downloading to an unknown folder.

Load the sitebuilder of the site you would like to download.
Paste the following snippet into the URL bar (erasing what is already there).

javascript:void((new ide.requests.actions.downloadSite()).send({site:ide.user.getSite()}))

Once you hit "Enter" your site will start to download to your computer.

Hi Paul

We checked with our engineers and this feature has been deprecated. It is no longer available and the code no longer works.

OK thanks for the quick reply, it's a shame though, not the most useful feature but I used it occasionally to build a mock-up in WAMP if I was trying to overcome an issue or to play around with design ideas.

Hi Paul

I understand how you would find this feature helpful in your case. It was not a widely-used feature, but some users were having trouble hosting in a different environment.

Our engineering team made a decision to deprecate the feature for a number of reasons, hosting being one of them.

Thanks for understanding.
