Hello Richard,

If you have lost your Google verification code, you can retrieve it from your Google Analytics account. You don't need to upgrade to Yola Silver to add Google Analytics to your site - you just need to add the code to your Site Properties. You can do this by following these steps:

1. In the Sitebuilder, click on Site > Site Properties.
2. Click on the option "Site tracking code".
3. Paste your Google Analytics tracking code into the left hand side where it says "Footer code".
4. Click "Ok" and "Ok" again.

This will apply the Google Analytics code to each page of your site including new pages that you add in the future. Remember, it takes 24 hours for data on your site to be available in your Google Analytics account. Here is a link to our tutorial about adding analytics, which you might find helpful: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/article....

From what it sounds like, you are also having a problem finding your site on Google. If you are search for your site on Google, and are unable to find it, that is because takes time for new sites to be picked up and indexed by the search engines.

Indexing is the process of the search engine algorithm going through each of your website pages, making a copy of the page, and adding it to its index. This can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months and unfortunately, is out of our control. If you take a moment to imagine the millions of webpages on the Internet you can see why this can take some time.

Until your site is indexed, people will not be able to find it using the Google search box, but will be able to find your site by putting your address, such as mysite.com, into the browser window at the very top of the page.

Lastly, if you would like submenus on your site, you do have to upgrade to Yola Silver as this feature is only available for Yola Silver account holders.

I hope this answers all your questions. Please let us know if anything is unclear!

Hi richard

I am adding screen shots here so that you can check whether you have followed the steps correctly:

1. In the Sitebuilder, click on Site > Site Properties.

2. Click on the option "Site tracking code".

I hope this is helpful to you. However, you may email the link to us if you prefer to do so and we can check it for you. Our email address is support@yola.com.

Hi Richard
Site - site properties are on the Yola sitebuilder page not the google analytics page. As I understand it though site tracking is a Yola silver feature, give it a try and see what happens.

Log onto your Google Analytics account and you should be able to retrieve the code there, I can't tell you what it will look like as I don't use it. As I said I think site tracking is a silver feature So you may need to upgrade, maybe Nazlie can confirm this.

Hi richard

All Yola users can make use of the Google Analytics code tracker. It is not limited to only our Yola Silver members. To get your Google Analytics code, take a look at our Adding Analytics tutorial, which has helpful screen shots and detailed steps of where to find the Analytics code (which you'll find in your Google Analytics account).

Hope it is helpful. Let us know if you need more help.

David, thanks for helping out on this thread! :)

No problem Nazlie, I only mentioned the silver upgrade because on my screen shot of site properties it would appear that site tracking is a silver upgrade?

Thanks for posting the screen shot, David. Sorry, my mistake. You are quite correct in saying that the Site Tracking Code feature is only available on Yola Silver.

Your site will appear on google when google decides to index it, this applies to free or silver account holders, yola have no input as to when this process will happen. I have a free site and I manage a silver account, my free site took a matter of days to appear in google while the silver account took several weeks, google analytics is not relevant to this process.
If you would like to view your site you need to type the full web address into the search bar in your browser until the site is indexed.
