How to link a folder in yola. I have a product of "1000 ebooks" for resale and i saved them in my file manager folders. However i cant link the folder to my thank you page. Yola site seem to say i can only link individual lifes within the folder...which make it an enomous exercise since i have more than 1,000 files.

Hello Vincent,

Thank you for your message. I would like to begin by finding out how you intend to sell these files?

If you would like to sell digital products on your site where you have an integrated payment and download service, you can try payloadz.com. Yola does not yet have a feature that allows you to sell digital products. Payloadz.com have an ideal set-up that allows you to sell digital products and they are compatible with PayPal. For more information take a look at their support page: Payloadz Support.

Please verify that you will be selling these files on your site and inform us on how you intend to sell them.

We are excited to assist you with this.

Did you mean folder listing in /resources folder ?

Upon folder permissions, a webmaster can decide and allow showing folder listings. If you could use cPanel hosted site, you can see it.

To enable folder listings, you need to add a .htaccess file to your site.

The best solution is, host your files elsewhere(in a web host) and use a script like phpfm to show files.

Skydrive.live.com is also a place you may need to try.

Hi Vincent. If you want to link to a folder in your website, here is an example:

------INFO------

Folder name: images

In: File manager of website

File: book1.jpg

------------------

A link to that: resources/images/book1.jpg

<!--
So, if you have a folder named 'images' you have to put resources/ in front of it. If you are linking to it from another website, you have to add your URL in, like this:

http://your-url.yolasite.com/resource...

Remember: 'your-url.yolasite.com' is the domain / URL of your website.

You always have to have resources/ in front of folder names.
-->

I hope this helps.

Please let me know if this helps.

I think this user need to show folder listings.(something you can find in sourceforget.net or code.google.com

when user(visitor) access http://example.com/resources/ebooks/"... trailing slash) user(author) need to show file listings(like in a file manager)

to do this, you must allow folder listing in .htaccess or use a file manager script.

But, you can't do that in Yola. Maybe they will have that feature someday.

I intend to sell through clickbank. clickbank are processing the payment. I need to send the 10 folders with say 100 files/ebooks in them. I intend to link my thank you page to a page with links to the folders. At the moment Yola only allows linking to one file per link and not to a folder. It means i have to create a thousand links ie for each ebook file in my file manager??? which is impossible.

Hello Vincent,

Thank you for your message. While I am not too familiar with ClickBank, I do believe they take care of all of the downloading for you. I suggest contacting their support: ClickBank Support for further information.

We are only capable of a single file upload, though, if ClickBank does take care of the downloading, there is no reason you will need to load these files on your site as well.

I hope this is helpful.
