How to make my pages wider?

I am so frustrated. Every page of my site looks like an epic poem. Is there a way to make them wider? and is there any way for text NOT to blend in when using two-column layout? and is there a way for me to adjust the dimensions of layouts, in edition to length?

I provided a picture for you to better understand my problem. You can see how much black space there is on the sides and I tried working with other designs but I still do not like the results.

I'm going insane. Please someone help!

Hi Roman

To stop the text from the two columns from blending into eachother click on the text widget inside the column, then click on the "Properties" tab in the sidebar on the right.

You will see 4 boxes in a diamond formation with the letters "px" next to them that allow you to set the top, bottom and side margins. Experiment by entering a number to see the effect on your columns. I usually use at value of 15 for my side margins. Let me know if you have any trouble with this.

From your picture I could not see which style you are using. Can you tell me what it is called, or take a picture that includes the page header. The editable area on the different styles varies. Some are wider than others. The advantage of a narrower style is that it prevents people with smaller screens from having to scroll horizontally to read your text.
