How can I prevent a Single Page on my site from being indexed? The page I am referring to has a product I am selling on it, so I don't want it to be downloaded for free, which can happen if the page is indexed.

You can password protect that page only, if you wish.

Click on Site Manager (top left blue tab)
Scroll down past your pages list
Click on Site Password Protection (has lock icon on the left)
Set a login and password
Checkmark the pages you want protected

Hope that helps

Hello Glynis,

In order to stop the search engines from indexing your site, you would need to be able to edit your robots.txt file, which requires access to the root directory of your site. Unfortunately this is not possible with a Yola website. Currently the only way to stop your sites from being indexed on Yola is to:

1. Password protect your site, you can find the steps to password protecting your site on this link: Adding Password Protection. None of the content that is behind the password protection will be indexed. The name of your site might still appear in the search results, but there will be no description of the contents.
2. Unpublish your site so that the search engines don't index your published site. However, this would defeat the purpose of having a site, so we recommend the first option.Adding Password Protection. None of the content that is behind the password protection will be indexed. The name of your site might still appear in the search results, but there will be no description of the contents.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need further assistance!

Hi I got my page to not be indexed using meta tags! Follow these steps:

1. Drag over an HTML widget to your page.

2. Paste this in to the box that pops up:

<meta http-equiv="Expires" content="-1">
<meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache">
<meta name="robots" content="noarchive">
<meta name="robots" content="noindex">
<meta name="robots" content="nofollow">

3. Then click OK.

4. That should do it!

These are all of the meta tag I used and I cannot find my.nathansmusicstudio.cz.cc any where in Google! :D The reason why I do not want it indexed is because the website with these tags is a members area and I don't want random people coming by even though it is all password protected by a 3rd party company I am using for the membership login system

I hope this works & helps!

-->

Sincerely,
Nathan

Hello Nathan. The html tag you supplied - does it prevent indexing of single pages or your whole site? I only want to de-index individual pages that have products on them. Thank you.

Hi, it de-indexes only one page! :) So if you add it to 2 pages, it will de-index those 2 pages only.
