I have placed a buy now paypal widget into a double column divider, and the paypal widget seems to be stretching to fill the column divider, distorting the image. Please would you be able to let us know how to resize the column divider for the picture to be right again and not too large also?.

Thank you very much, we appreciate it

Hello 888vgs

The Column Divider Widget will grow to accommodate the largest item placed inside the widget. You can try dragging over the middle axis bar closer to the left or right to see if this helps.

If this does not help, you may need to resize your largest item. If the largest item is your picture, then you can resize by clicking on the red handle and dragging it smaller.

If the issue is with your PayPal Widget, then you can alter the HTML by changing the width and height values.

Please let me know if you have any further trouble with this.

I have just one word in each column and my divider is way longer than the word. Is there a way to set this? (Trying to create my own navbar)

Hello Saskia,

at present you can't set fixed width values for the columns of a Column Divider Widget. However, it's something we've added to our agenda.

When you create your custom navigation bar, I'd presume that you may have between 5 and 8 menu links there, is that correct?

If so, you'll need to add more Column Divider Widgets into each other, e.g. for 8 menu links, you'll use 7 Column Divider Widgets (if this still fits into the width of your page). Even if it looks a bit strange and squashed in your Sitebuilder workview, it's only Preview which will give you the right impression on how your site looks after republishing. Using more Column Divider Widgets will automatically reduce the width of your columns.

However, let's say you only have 4 menu links and want them to align to the left or to the right, then you'll need to do is to edit the margin values of the first Column Divider Widget which contains all your other widgets in order to move the columns closer together:
  1. Hover over this first Column Divider Widget and click on "Margin" to access the Margin dialogue box.

  2. Enter e.g. 300 into the left box in order to align your menu to the right-hand side.

  3. Preview the result and adjust that pixel value until you're happy with the outcome.

Please let me know if you need more assistance with this.
