How to schedule blog posts?

Is it possible to schedule blog posts for future posting? Example: write out blog entries in advance and schedule when you want them to be posted.

There is a paid service called Post Later that I got the idea from, but I would like to use something in house (and free) before I go to that route.

PS: If SynthaSite isn't offering this service anyone know of a third party service that might be able to do it (free)? Does SythnaSite allow that?

Hi TinaHunter,

Unfortunately this service is currently not available with SynthaSite. With regards to using a third party to achieve, I would need to do some research. I will look into this and if I come up with anything, I will post here.

Hi Kershnee,

I have a suggestion that might help. I was looking at other services and for some of them you have to use an email-to-blog plus a email-later service.

So my question/suggestion: any chance of setting up an email-to-blog service? This way people can email said service and have the email become a blog post.

The third party email-later services I found are http://www.lettermelater.com/ and http://www.timecave.com (Time Cave puts ads at the bottom of the email which I don't know if they would show up in a post).

If you use these together you can schedule blog posts for future dates - great if you're going away on vacation and don't want your followers to get bored without new content.

And for Twitter-er's you can use http://www.loudtwitter.com to post a daily summary of your tweets directly to your blog so long as you put in said email-to-blog address.

So SynthaSite, what does the crystal ball say?
