How do I upload a favicon? I've used the Site Properties link and can see the icon in the preview but when I save the page and publish, its not showing up. I'd like for it to show up in EI, Firefox etc. I know this has been asked but it was three years ago and the site has changed! Thanks.

Hello Charleen,

Could you post a link to your site so that we can take a look for you?

Hi Charleen,

I saw both that your favicon wasn't being displayed and that it looked to be uploaded to your Site Properties page correctly. I reuploaded it for you and am now able to see your favicon in Firefox. Would you mind checking on your end please?

I don't see it via IE which is what I use. How can we get it to be visible for all the viewers that use IE?

Hi, Charleen,

In order for a favicon to show up in IE, it needs to be an .ico file. You can find an ico generator here: http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/
Just upload the image, create the icon then upload it to your File Manager and add it to the Site Properties as you did before. Let us know if you have any trouble with this.

I did that very thing and it didn't show up either. I'll upload the icon version I have, then perhaps you can have a look and see why its not showing up?
Thanks!

Hi, Charleen,

I'm not seeing any reason why it shouldn't show up in IE. The only thing I can think of is that it doesn't like the 3 in the name of the file. Try renaming it favicon.ico and see if that helps at all.
