How, where and why ?

Had created a site in a yola subdomain and published successfully. There were many images in the file manager.

I republished the site as a new domain and because of unavailability of name used a disimilar(?) name to the original

When I published to the new domain:

1. The images showed up even though the address of each image was in the old site and the references used were absolute and not relative. eg: http://site.yolasite.com/resources/fo... NOT /resources/folder/image1.jpg

2. The old site was no longer on my dashboard.

3. The new file manager is still called by the old file location

4. I couldn't access the old subdomain site.

How come the images are still addressable by the old address and the subdomain has gone? I feel very unsure about this as there were some 600 images stored in the original site, even though I can access them at this time but for how long? I should have checked before but presumed that a new domain would be added to the list of published domains for the site.

Hello Gop,

First of all, I want to assure you that you will always have access to your images in your File Manager no matter if you have changed the domain name.

If you could please share the new domain you are using as well as the old domain name, we can look into this further and determine what is going on.

Thanks for working with us on this.

Thank you miss Sanja again for your time.

Could you tell me if the file manager in the new domain will retain the name of the old file manager? or will I now address images from http://new site.domain.com/resources/folder/image1

or the previous (old)
