On blog page (not web page), trying to save HTML code in the Editor.

Open HTML button in Editor, enter HTML code, close HTML button - and it's not there. Either on the Editor or the Live page.

See "Macros and flowers" at http://axel.yolasite.com/fun-photogra...

Have tried this numerous times over the past few weeks, in doesn't always happen. i.e. not a regular problem, but it is frustrating when it happens.

I see someone else has commented on this before: http://tinyurl.com/knnt29

What am I doing wrong?

thanks

Hi AxelB

There is a limit on what HTML and Javascript you can embed inside a blogpost.

As a workaround you could try dragging and dropping an HTML widget directly onto your blogpage and embed it that way. Can you try this and let me know if it works?

I'm only trying to embed one lot of code inside each post. Looks like this:

Nothing more than that per blog page.

Mmm; weird - looking at the page I'm trying to work on now, it has turned into a web template/page rather than a blog template/page, which is how I set it up.

So can't even edit now, either as a blog page or by drag-and-drop/widget actions.

See http://axel.yolasite.com/fun-photogra.... You'll note there's a second page there (read older posts), which is something you can only do using a blog template/page (right?)

Hello AxelIB

Monique has mentioned that the issue related to the ability of the blog page to handle such code. I think that it's not able to handle iframe's.(?) There are quite a few code snippets that don't work with the blog.

Another work around is to insert a link as HTML in your post to a page on your site with the iframe installed. This may be a solution for you. (it may also work simply going to the link if Flickr offer you such)

<!--
<a href="http://axel.yolasite.com/{iframe_page}"
target="_blank">{Click here to see the flickr show}</a>

Thanks. I'll try that. Weird thing is that that snippet of code has been working with all the other slideshows on this site (and two others that I have created).

Now I just can't seem to make it "stick".

Hi Axel,

I have had similar issues and I know that there has been a lot of work done on various aspects of the Blog all for the better. I guess there are the unforseen that crop up and by reporting it there's a chance of a fix.

I really think that in the long run Yola will have the best or certainly one of the best blog platforms available. I like the idea of the seemless boundary
