HTML Edit?

Basic Question: Unable to amend HTML.

How do I amend the HTML code? I can click and Highlight the code but I am unable to amend? I see the HTML Widget, but doesn't seem too useful as I can't actual see the code itself within the Widgit to amend? This seems to be only additional HTML function, rather than an edit.

Thanks
Matt

Hi John,

I am just starting to create my website so there will be plenty I want to amend.
But for now I specifically looking to Edit the menu.

i.e. On the Home Page. I would like the menu to label, say...
A, B, C, D.

If I then click on B, the Menu on page B would be different.
Home, E, F, G.

I don't seem to be able to do this using the Page Manager or Edit Menu Options?

Please let me know if I am missing something, should be quite simple to amend in HTML?

Thanks for your help
Cheers
Matt

Use Page Manager

Go to Edit Menu

What comes up are seperate headings which can be 'edited' to say what you want A B C etc
Here You can also add pages for J K L etc

Hops this helps.. You dont need any HTML

The Page Manager Didn't seem to work but I found a work around with subpages, although being able to edit the HTML would no doubt be helpful. Leaves me confused why we can't edit the HTML?

In the Edit Menu of Page Manager there is not any HTML to edit.

When you edit in edit menu, you just type in what you want like 'A' and that becomes the header for that page.

There is also an option in Edit menu to add more pages with available new headers to detail.

Hi Matt,

John's been doing a great job of assisting you (thanks John!) but I also wanted to hop in and add that while you can add HTML to your page via the HTML widget, what it sounds like you are wanting to do is edit the actual Yola Style you have selected. This is best accomplished via the CSS editor.

Please check out our tutorial on editing your site CSS and see if that is more in line with what you are trying to accomplish.
