Here are two really good resources that focus on writing entire html pages from scratch:

http://articles.sitepoint.com/article...
http://www.w3schools.com/html/default...

When I was starting out I used w3schools. Both of these are completely free.

When writing html and css for Yola, just remember you'll only be adding things inside the <body> tag (this will make more sense when you've been through the tutorials a bit).

Happy coding, and good luck :)

Back in the day, I went to the bookstore and got a couple books on html and Javascript for about $10.00. I don't know of any online resource that will explain the coding such as a book would. Then again after I learned it, I've never searched for a full fledge online resource. Or you could even have someone teach via Yahoo IM or some other online IM service. My news reported lives all the way in California (I'm in Florida) and I taught him via IM and he is now the top news reporter on my site. Just throwing a few ideas out there.

Hi John Mc

I was reading a yola tutorial on text borders and it recommended a site called HTML Basix, where I found they also have a tutorial on learning HTML.
Here is the url.

http://www.htmlbasix.com/htmlbasics.s...

You can also use this site to generate HTML code to use in the yola HTML widget.
