Why does the HTML code string out in one long line when copied from one window to another new one? Is there a way to set several shorter lines?

Hi Kent,
Are you copying and pasting from one html widget on one page to another? After you paste in the code can you click OK to shut the dialogue window and then open it back up again. I have just tried this with some Google Analytics code and it wrapped the text in the html widget when I did this.

If this doesn't work can you tell me what html code you are using.

Hi Kent.

I would recommend that you copy your code and then paste into Notepad. Try fiddling around with the format of the Notepad - either set to word wrap or no wordwrap (under format tab) of Notepad. Then, copy to your html widget box.

The reason why this may have occurred in the first place was because it was originally copied as a wordwrap.

Yes is word wraped. So you are saying omit the word wrap, set to seperate lines between "> and then it will show in widget as same?

Hi Kent,
Did it help putting the text into Notepad and setting it to wordwrap or no wordwrap?

Hi Kent,

I would not suggest using word wrap in Notepad. The only thing that word wrap does is display it on separate lines in the notepad editor, but it is actually one long line. What you need to do is press enter at the start of every line of code that you want to appear on the next line.

Acually this is what I have done. Later copies to a new widget box seem to be good, except for the line with many contiuous underscores need for seperating of the items listed in the row under the first. Your game is much different that geocities, but I am quickly getting where I like it better, as I learn! Ya know it's only been a week at this and I think I am getting a better site with yola!
