Hey Alex,
Thank you very much for the feature request! So what you are asking for is a 404 page that has more information on it. I will forward this along to our team for consideration in future releases.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

I created a 404 page, but not in Yola. You can see it if you go to http://pauljohnsonphotos.com/what-eve... and it will go to the 404 page. But, I am going to try something. Iam going to make a .htaccess file ok, and upload it to my site's file manager in Yola. Then, I am going to created a page named "404page.php" In the .htaccess It will say

ErrorDocument 404 /404page.php

Maybe this will work! I will tell you guys if it does!

Hi Nathan - you won't be able to add an .htaccess file to your site on Yola. Like Emmy says - it has been sent to our development team in the form of a feature request.

You may be able to upload the file, but it's not possible to upload it to the correct directory level on your site. More information here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Htaccess

Oh, do you know if someday they will allow us to upload stuff to the right directory? I really want to make a Custom 404 page :) I made one on a website that I didn't build with Yola. http://www.pauljohnsonphotos.com/ and you can see it by putting something that you know probably doesn't exist. Maybe you could put /google (That doesn't exist!) Anyways I hope someday we will be able to make Custom Error Pages and upload stuff to the root directory and stuff.

Custom error pages aren't allowed in Yola, i used my own HTML Code for the custom error page, the template was provided by freecsstemplates.org

How did you manage to upload an external template? Also... when I clicked on the above link, it did take me to the 404 page for like 2 secs then it took me to this: http://avg.urlseek.vmn.net/search.php...

Littelus, The reason you recieve http://avg.urlseek.vmn.net/search.php...

Is because you have AVG Anti-Virus installed, it gives you a error page from AVG instead of mine. Disable it otherwise you cant see 404 Pages.

There's 2 Main Objectives in my site, Tools and a browser(FBROWSER)
The reason my site just isn't FBROWSER is because the Tools relate to FBROWSER for example my search engine, its the home page on my Browser and some other tools are related to FBROWSER.

External? The template is from freecsstemplates.org, Download it, Upload it to your cPanel and go to custom error pages and insert the HTML of index.html

Ill try to help you guys out, Ill see what i can digg up and if its possible to add error pages to yola, but more than likely no. You see cPanel has a catch-all auto update 404 Not Found, It knows whats not there by updating its index and knowing whats not there and what exist, and the catch-all means it catch's all invalid address and points them to the same site.

Nope, it was extremely hard for me at first but once i got to learn it, its extremely simple for me now.

Here's why i decided to start a website,
I decided i wasn't gonna be the consumer
anymore, but the provider i was sick of
following the leader like Myspace Yahoo etc
and i decided "If they did it why cant i" so
i search on google and found Sytnasite.com!
and that really started me off being a designer
of Web seems hard to you alex but once you
get the hang of it, its very fun!
