Hi Everyone,

I have just created a scrolling marquee with the following code:

This is scrolling along the bottom of my page and has the logos of the manufacturers we use. However i would like to put a link on each image to the companys own website. Can this be done?

Kind Regards,

Sam

Hi Sam,

Here's one wihich allows hypertext and images. You need to change the colours, the source links and image addresses to fit your needs.

<marquee onmouseover="this.stop();" onmouseout="this.start();" scrolldelay="125" scrollamount="3" direction="left" height="60" vspace="0" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" style="font-family: Verdana; color: #CC0000; font-size:10px;"> <a target="_top" href="http://theningdirectory.ning.com/page/gold-member-communities"><img alt="Gold Member Communities" src="http://theningdirectory.ning.com/custom_images/GOLD/goldmemberssm.png" border=0 hspace="5"></a><a target="_blank" href="http://theningfordummies.ning.com/"><img alt="Ning For Dummies" src="http://theningdirectory.ning.com/custom_images/GOLD/ningfordummiesGOLDsm.jpg" border=0 hspace="5"></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="http://sarahpalingals2.ning.com/"><img alt="Sarah Palin GALS" src="http://theningdirectory.ning.com/custom_images/GOLD/sarahpalinGOLDsm.jpg" border=0 hspace="5"></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="http://www.classictvsocial.com"><img alt="Classic TV Social" src="http://theningdirectory.ning.com/custom_images/GOLD/classictvGOLDsm.png" border=0 hspace="5"></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="http://newvibrations.ning.com"><img alt="New Vibrations!" src="http://theningdirectory.ning.com/custom_images/GOLD/newvibrationsGOLDsm.jpg" border=0 hspace="5"></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="http://petloversparadise.ning.com"><img alt="Pet Lovers Paradise" src="http://theningdirectory.ning.com/custom_images/GOLD/petparadiseGOLDsm.jpg" border=0 hspace="5"></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="http://richandrich.ning.com"><img alt="Rich and Rich Entrepreneurs" src="http://theningdirectory.ning.com/custom_images/GOLD/richandrichGOLDsm.jpg" border=0 hspace="5"></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<a target="_blank"

Hi Sam,

There's no text in this example so I would say yes. The text seen is in fact "alt text" which is a really good thing to add to images as it makes your images have sense to the robots and to visually impaired people who use a voice interpretor. Here's a wiki on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alt_attr...

If you need any tweaking that you can't work out, let me know.
