I am having a problem getting my other folders to open up in the file manager section. I need to delete un-needed photos. I open the file manager and when I try to click on the other folders, it only gives me the option to delete the whole folder and I don't want to do that. I need to open it and delete whats not needed. Help please

Hi, June,

Are you clicking once or double clicking on the folder? To open it , you need to double click. Please let us know if this is not the case.

Edit: Oops, I just re-read your post and I noticed that the problem I'm having isn't the problem that you're having. Could you let us know what browser you're using, and the version of it? And, are you right clicking or left clicking on it? As Diane said, you have to double click the folder to open it.

I've been having this problem as well, but I found a way around it. When the file manager opens, after it is done loading click somewhere in the file manager (not on a file though, just blank space in it somewhere) Then, you will be able to double click the folder and it should open. What this does is focuses on the iframe in the modal box that pops up. I guess when it opens, the iframe doesn't have any focus causing it to do that.

I hope this helps.

To Yola Developers/CSS People:

I suggest putting this in your CSS for the file manager area, this will make it where when you double click, it wont highlight everywhere and mess up the file manager:

-moz-user-select: -moz-none;
-khtml-user-select: none;
-webkit-user-select: none;
user-select: none;

I use this all the time, and it just disables the highlight when you select text and stuff. (only for the specific element that you apply it to) It is good when you have drag and drop and/or double clicking.

This is what I mean by highlight:

When you double click, sometimes it highlights and then parts of the file manager won't work.

Hi Nathan

Thanks for helping on this thread. Which browser and version are you using?

I will pass the CSS code on to our engineers for consideration.

Hi Nazlie

I'm using Google Chrome latest version. The problem has been happening ever since the new file manager was released but I just now got to reporting it.

I am using Mozilla Foxfire Latest version I am pretty sure, updating frequently. I right click twice after hitting it once to highlight. If I left clicked it will bring up the options, to copy, delete, rename, download etc. I thought everything was running smoothly or it was till this. I am the sole website caretaker, have been doing this for about 2 years now with much maintenance about every day. I am surprised I don'tr know how to fix this. help.

Could you try clicking on it first, and then after it is selected/highlighted double clicking it again? That works for me, using Google Chrome. I've tried Firefox too and it works for me.

Hello June,

I'm sure that this quite frustrating. Could you please try updating your Flash and your Java to see if that helps with the issue you're seeing?

I have finally found a way into my folders to delete un-needed photos. I type into the file search section part of the name of the file. in this case 2011. I now can delete photos. I tried clicking on a bare area then the folder, that did nothing.
