here is a page from Google for troubleshooting: https://www.google.com/support/google...
Also, have you used MS Word? It can add extra code that causes problems.

To see if you are indexed, just do a google search for your domain name. It looks like it is not yet indexed.

Hello Charlotte

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems getting Google Analytics to work. In addition to Diane's suggestions, here are some more things you can try:

* Have you republished your site? You must republish your site in order for any changes you have made to take effect. To do this, click on the green "Publish to the web" button.
* Have you copied the complete code provided by Google Analytics and pasted it into an HTML Widget?

You can also take a look at our tutorial for more information: Adding Analytics.

Please let us know how this goes.

Adding Google analytics to the sites 1st time slowsdown the site in secons.
That process wakes up the thread in google analytics name as UA-something .

Analytics gets updated daily. So it do not confirms a successful installation within seconds.

I recomment you the following.

Sign up for analytics again. Then customize the script by checking "i use php pages " , "mobile pages","i use inbuilt search.". Do not add I use dynamic pages.

Put the code on top of each page. If you use metatags or styles , place the analytics code in the bottom of them.
Publish the site twice.

Log in the analytics tommarow, after 24 hours.

Hope these helps...
