I tried to change the CNAME so I can use google apps, but that didnt workout. So I changed the CNAME back to what it was orginally when I was using yola mail, but I continue to see a google error.

What do I do to:
1. Fix it immediately so I can see my email
2. Use google apps to access my domain email

Thanks

Hi Paul,

Can you let me know the name of your domain so that we can look up your settings?

Once you have changed a CNAME record it can take up to 48 hours for the change to propagate across the internet. This is why when you changed it back to point to Yola Mail, it didn't update automatically.

Could you let me know where you were seeing the 404 error? Was it when you were looking up your domain or mail? If you could also provide us with the CNAME record it will help us to investigate this problem.

Thanks,
Jackie

Hi Jackie,

Thanks for responding.

My CNAME is mail.kaliconsulting.com.cust.b.hostedemail.com
I would see the error when I selected check my inbox.

Thanks Paul. That is the CNAME record for Yola Mail, could you provide us with that CNAME record that you were adding for Google Apps?

When you see the 404 error, is it when checking your Yola Mail inbox or Google Apps inbox? You would see an error message if you remove the Yola Mail CNAME record as this is what provides you access to the webmail settings for Yola Mail.

I was trying to add it to google apps inbox so I changed it to google CNAME and then I decided to continue with yola mail so I changed it back to yola CNAME.
