Hi there when you change the banner on your index page it only changes it on that page.

You must also do the same change on each of your pages to make it look like you want.

I also had to do the same as you with my site...

What is your sites address so that we all can see your progress.

if you like the appearance of the style you currently use then you can go ahead and use this technique to blank out your banner image.

Go to Google Images here and then in the search box type in ( blue background) or (red background) or (black background) or any color which matches the color of your background.

http://images.google.com/imghp?imgsz=...

You need to locate an image which is at minimum1200x400 in size because when you save it to your computer and upload it to your file manager to insert into your banner it needs to be oversized to ensure total coverage.

The style Tastelessly is good for this to use an example but know that you will have a blank space between the buttons up top and your text. So you might think about making yourself a banner yourself. It's really not that hard.

Thanks Ed and Monique,,,,being a newbie in this your help is very well appreciated.
I tried what Ed mention which made sense but this is the problem I ran into. Since my background is white I download a oversized white background but the outlines of the banner still showed up and then I realized that menu bar which is below the banner would be in an odd postion 1/3rd the way down the blank page....I need to figure a way to move the menu bar to the top of my extra pages...I will keep on reading the questions here to figure more out....The website is called Van Gogh Musuem Quality Reproductions...I paint Van Gogh reproductions and would like to get a website on line to sell them. I need a banner for the home page for the presentation but the following pages with each one a different subject needs to be unique to its subject matter ie....gallery, color theory, about, contact and so on....I am currently using the theme "economics" because it had a good size banner....but I only need it for the home page......any help would be great!...thanks...Fred

I hope the Tastelessly style works for you. Unfortunately it is not possible to have different styles for different pages. The closest you can come is to customize the banner image for each page.

Let us know if this style does the trick.
