Hi mitc:

I'm sorry you're having difficulties with this. I agree that it can seem a little daunting, because if the syntax of the code isn't copied and pasted "just so," you're probably going to get an error message from Google. Is this what is happening for you? If so, it would be helpful if you could let us know what the error message is saying -- sometimes it contains important clues as to what the remedy should be.

You may have already done this, but just to retrace the necessary steps, and also for the benefit of others who may be reading this post:

Here's how to add Google Analytics:

1. Go to Google Analytics and sign up for a free account
2. Type in the URL of your site
3. Copy the tracking code provided by Google
4. Login to your SynthaSite account and open your website. Then drag and drop an HTML widget at the bottom of each page you want to track
5. Paste the code from Google into the HTML editor, and click OK. Repeat this step on each page that you want to track.
6. Republish your site

You can log into your Google Analytics account to find out all the information you want to know about the people who have visited your site, and to let you know which parts of your site are the most popular/effective. As an added bonus, it will also increase your ranking with Google.

Hope this works for you this time around,

~ Adrienne
