I have 2 subdomain websites I want to publish. I have already set up A records for both to point to yola at "184.72.229.176" Is this correct? However when I try to publish my sites and test the set up, I keep getting "Please check to make sure you own this domain, it is spelled correctly, and that another website is not published at this domain."

When I type in the URLs of the subdomain websites:
www.html.honeybeeweddings.ca &
www.flash.honeybeeweddings.ca
I do get a yola message page that says my site is pointed to yola, I just need to go publish it.

So what is wrong with my set up???

Hi, right now there is a problem with publishing sub domains. As long as you have 2 A records like this:

1.

html points to 184.72.229.176

2.

flash points to 184.72.229.176

Then an employee can go in and set it as a sub domain on your site.

What is your domain registrar?

Thanks,
Nathan

Thanks for the info. Do you already have your domain working with your website? If you do please let me know. An employee can do a do a lookup on your domain and if it is correct they can go to your account and do it for you with employee tools or something.

Sincerely,
Nathan

Hello Monkey PRN,

Unfortunately we are experiencing a slight bug in that you are unable to publish to a custom sub-domain.

What you can do in the meantime is make sure your subdomain is pointed to Yola's IP address: 184.72.229.176 then publish your site to a free .yolasite.com subdomain.

Once you have done this you can email us at support@yola.com and let us know what your yolasite.com subdomain is and what custom subdomain you would like assigned to your site and one of our technical team will do it for you.

Many thanks for working with us on this.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Question:

Nathan posted this as the Yola IP: 184.72.226.176

Emmy posted this as the Yola IP: 184.72.229.176

Could someone clear this up for future readers here?
