I get this message: It works! This is the default web page for this server.

I've seen I'm not the first one with this issue.

I'm using Firefox and apparently with no reason I see that when going to me home page, I get this message:

It works!
This is the default web page for this server.
The web server software is running but no content has been added, yet.

It quite a strange message and when I first saw it I didn't know if whether it came from Firefox or you. I have attached a picture so you guys can see how it looks like.
I cleared my history from the last 24 hours and everything went back to normality.

I would be good if you figured out what connection has with you, because I had never seen it before, only with my website. And it's an issue that happened to other users too. Thanks ;-)

Hello russianforfree,

I have seen this before but for people who are using Chrome. So, this is a new one for me! Can you please let me know what operating system you are using? I'll investigate this further. Thanks!

Hi Sanja,

This is what I'm using:

Operating System: Windos 7
Browser: Firefox, version 3.6.18

I also use Explorer and Chrome, but I've only seen this happening with Firefox. Looks like a pretty annoying thing, since you only get rid of it clearning your history and that's something many people don't do.

I guess that what everyone here is concerned about is:
- May this happen to our visitor or only to us as webmasters?

Hello russianforfree,

Thanks for your patience. To be honest with you, I am not sure why this happens and who it happens to. Based on what I've gathered from previous times this message has come up, it seems to be on the webmaster's side. I'm sorry that I am not able to provide more assistance in this regards.

Well, I noticed something. I saw this page before when I update my site using Chrome or Firefox. It used to happen with Opera but what I did was, republish my site and maybe that page IT WORKS will appear again, so, what you have to do is refresh the page several times, I think that the info of the site is still propagating and sometimes can be slower than others, I recommend you to use Opera, the new fast version 11.54, its amazing. Don't worry, maybe your cache is full or something is wrong but your site is still alive for the world.

Can you help me? When I go to my website address I get a message saying this is my default page and the software is running but no content has been added. Did something expire or fail? My website address is www.charansalsa.com and my e-mail address is joemarion718@aol.com
Could you check this out for me. This is my band's website and we have a following that visits regularly. My website was designed using Yola.com
Thank You,
Joe de Jesus
