The background is completely taking over the text in foreground. Is there a way to make the text's background white and everything around it the background? On one page it was kind of doing that so it appears to be possible.

Hello Omar,

Thanks for your message! Would you mind sharing the URL of the page you would like your site to look like?

Yola gives you the option to change the background color of your style or upload your own background image, or both! You can also apply it to all the pages!

Please note that not all styles allow for an editable background. Here is how to change the background color on your site:

1. Click on "Change Background".
2. A dialog box will open, click on the down-arrow next to "Background Fill" and the color picker will open.
3. Select the color you would like to use and click on "OK". If you know the Hex value of the color you would like to use, enter it into the space provide- here's a link to a Hex color code chart.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need further assistance!

Kind Regards,
Brianna

thanks for all the help.
but still i know all of that if you enter my website you can see that the website is like silver. On the place thats written GMC and all that i dont have a problem with that, my problem is that from there where its written Home,Music, and Funny Videos till the bottom you can see that it is all silver.what i want to do is make it all white and only in the text boxes and image boxes to make them have a silver backround.
Another question is how can i cancel or delete all the Page Headings i have on my website, or do i have to go through all the pages and turn them to blank.

Hi Omer

Thanks for adding more detail about how you would like to display your text and also for adding your url.

I see that the right-hand menu on your page is in a text widget. If you would like to have the bottom 3 links with a different color background, I suggest that you add these links in another Text Widget below the first set of links. Then you can change the background color of the bottom set of links to the white background color.

To change the color of the background of a Text Widget, follow these steps:

1. Drag and drop the Text Widget below the top one, onto your page.
2. Copy the links from the top Text Widget into the bottom Text Widget.
3. Click on the HTML button in the Text Editing Toolbar to add this code:

<!-- <div style="background-color: white;">Music</br>Music vids</br>Funny vids</div> -->

Please remove the <!-- and --> from the code.

4. Click OK to save the code.

You will see the second set of links in a box with a white background.

I hope this helps. I you need any more assistance, please let us know.

Thanks
Nazlie

Hello Omer

The code that Nazlie provide will also do the trick for your Best and Top Rated Games section. You will need to add the code to each widget. If you still have trouble with this, please let us know.

Hi Omer,
Looking at the instructions that Nazlie gave above, can you tell me at which step you are unable to proceed any further and then also give us a link to the page on your site where you have tried to implement the code so that we can take a look.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Hi Omer

It sounds like you are missing this step:

3. Click on the HTML button in the Text Editing Toolbar to add this code:

Before you enter the code, you need to open up the HTML Editor. You will find it in the Text Editing Toolbar. This toolbar only appears when you click inside a Text Widget. It looks similar to a toolbar you will see in MS Word. The HTML Editor is the furthest to the right.
When you click this link, the HTML Editor will open up and then you paste in the code I gave earlier on this thread.
Please try that and let us know if you are still stuck or have other problems or questions.
Thank you!

Hi Omer
The code includes the links to your pages. So when you open up the HTML Editor in the Text Widget, you can add it to the end of the code.
<!-- <div style="background-color: white;">Music</br>Music vids</br>Funny vids</div> -->

Please remove the <!-- and --> so that the code shows up on your menu.
