As a Yola user I kindly request that the Yola Site Builder is reverted as there was nothing wrong with the original version.

If you share the above view please copy and paste and let Yola know we do not want to downgrade to the new text editor.

(I also hope that fixes the copy-paste issue...that removes formatting if you copy from another site or page or widget and also prevents you from even copying IMAGES)

Thank you for starting this petition. We have taken note of it, but this thread represents our current response: http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/new...

We will be updating that thread with more information as we work through bugs and customer feedback. Our goal is to come up with a text editor that addresses the concerns with the upgrade without reverting to the old one which is based on outdated and unsustainable technology.

REVERT IT BACK and go work on it away from our sitebuilding until all bugs are fixed because you are stopping us doing our daily updates due to the risk of losing and changing our content.

SURELY this is the better idea to revert back so we can continue with our work while yola work on the bugs on a seperate site or style where we can visit and give our feedback safely away from our sitebuilding.

ITS NOT A STUPID request unlike the stupid move to do this change to the main sitebuilding area in the first place

RESTORE THE PADDING FUNCTION OF THE TEXT BOX
The removal of this function has affection my entire site and will take hours to fix. The text box no longer has a padding function between widgets meaning that all of my pages, once opened, lose this formatting.

We did not remove the padding function of the text box deliberately. If you are referring to the ability to set margins around your text widget -this works exactly as before and I tested it on my end as it does work as expected and all my existing margins have been retained. If this is what you meant please let me know so I can investigate further. However, if you meant that there is a problem with blank text widgets that you inserted to add space in your page - we are aware of it and it is one of the high priority bugs we are working on. I hope you can help me clarify so that we can address this.

Hi Monique.
What I meant was: there is a problem with blank text widgets that you inserted to add space in your page. The padding / set margins thing works as normal just like you say. It is the blank text bolx which no longer has a spacing function which is currently damaging my site (see agmtraveller.com/latvia to see an example).
Thanks

Also Monique...
I have just noticed that some of the custom panels have failed and all formatting has been removed (the background image and the border detail). The first custom panel used on each page seems fine but it is subsequent custom panels which have failed (see www.agmtraveller.com/inter-rail-euro.php - subsequent country names have no panel at all). Please can this also be attended to?

Hi there AgmTraveller,

I am happy to say that the "padding" function of the text widget has been restored and it can now be used again as spacing.

I hope this helps.

Hi
I have just tried this on an affected page (http://www.agmtraveller.com/latvia.php) and this does not work.
a) The first set of text boxes (the originals) still do not act as a space.
b) Adding in a new text box does not act as a space either (as an aside, I also cannot type in this box either).

Jeremy - I think you've misunderstood my initial post - it is not the margin padding which is a problem - it is the blank text widgets that I have inserted to add space into my page. It is the blank text bolx which no longer has a spacing function which is currently damaging my site (see agmtraveller.com/latvia to see an example).

Hello agmtraveller

I think what happened is that all the margins of the blank Text Widgets you added have been reset to 0. If you add the margin values again, you should be able to restore your previous spacing (it worked for me when I tested it in your Sitebuilder). However, instead of using Text Widgets, I'd recommend that you use the margin feature of the other widgets to create spacing (most widgets offer a margin option) in future.

This is not the case - all margins were at zero to begin with. The text boxes, blank and all margins at zero, spaced widgets fine before this upgrade.
To add in margins for all of my pages --because of your upgrade-- is not a solution - it is a lot of work which you have caused. You have reduced the functionality of the text box without warning me and have screwed up my website as a result. For the last 5 years I have been using text boxes to separate widgets with no problem whatsoever. It is not appropriate for you to suggest that I effectively need to add in margins for every text box that I have used - there are several hundred of them and each will need to be amended because of an 'upgarde' that you have performed.
I want the functionality of the text box restored to its previous state - not a suggestion that I spend hours and hours trying to fix a problem you yourselves have caused.

I see. So before you were able to make use of a default spacing that the Text Widget came with. As said, using any widget to create spacing is not a recommendable way to achieve this. Please consider using the margin values of the widgets because that's the usual way of arranging elements on a page.

So because of you lot at yola making such a massive cock up... we now have to go around in circles and click more drop downs and options to get final result instead of the simple one before you messed up.

Once again its saying STUFF THE CUSTOMER

ALSO...
I have also not had any response to the problems with my Custom Panels which have lost their background and borders.

Hello agmtraveller

I've just been notified that the default spacing for empty Text Widgets has been restored. I can see on your Latvia page that you've removed some widgets, and that your remaining widgets create significant spacing gaps, so elements seem to be nicely layouted. If you'd prefer to use the Text Widgets to generate spacing, you should be able to do this again from now on. Thank you for your patience with us on this matter.

CUSTOM PANELS AND SEPARATOR BARS HAVE FAILED
I have also just noticed that a number of custom panels have lost their formatting - background image and border. The first one or two used on a page seem fine, others have vanished leaving only the text box with text inside it.
A nmumber of separator bars have also vanished.
Please can this also be attended to?

Ahhhhh...darn editing tool - when I go to highlight the text to change the font color, as soon as I do all the steps to get to the color wheel, and click on the color, the highlighted text is no longer highlighted and I can't change the color. Still very upset and disappointed. Entire site is wonky with fonts, spacing, etc. Yola has caused me a ton of work that I was not anticipating on doing.

Formatting has been ruined on all of my sites due to this new update! There is no other fix but revert everything to before the update and make this new sitebuilder an available option for anyone interested in the new features. I understand where the good is in it.... but for most, the bad is far outweighed by any potential good currently.
