http://yolacodes.yolasite.com have lots.

You can easily add anchors - instead of <a href="whatever.com"> -- just make it <a name="anchor text" href="whatever.com">

Lee.

ok... that's lovely... but I need the drop down box and anchors to match up... if you click on a sub title or section in a drop down box at the top of the page, I need it to take you to that section of the page.

you just add the anchor on the page you want to link to.

then in the drop down link to it - read the tutorial littleus left below.

I kind of understand the concept of inserting an anchor... but I would like to be able to do this from a drop down box INSTEAD OF a list or table of contents. I thought about Table of Contents but that's kind of the same way Wikipedia does it and I'd like to change something up. Like using a drop down box instead.

find the code for the drop down menu.

then just alter the links for example look at these 2 links
<!--
<a href="http://hexham.info/business.php">busi...>

<a href="http://hexham.info/business.php#a10">Go to the K's</a>

-->

this is how they work on a page - just do the same thing in the drop down menu.

business

Go to the K's

The a10 anchor is at the K's on the business page.

Hope this explains it a bit better.

You should be able to achieve this Donald. Typically, when you use your drop down menu, you would normally put in a link url which takes you to a new page. However, for you, you can put in an anchor tag as described by Duke above and then, you'll need to create the other anchor tag to a particular text on your page. So, when a person clicks on something on your drop down menu, they are taken to a particular spot. The expert on this is papa. If you have his email address.. he may be able to help you out on this. I'll see if I can find the old threads related to this idea.

I also want some ideas for formatting. I am also thinking about changing up my template. But the next template I chose I'd going to want to keep indefinately so it has to be good. I preferably want a lot of space for text so I was thinking a top menu or a very narrow side menu. If I have a top menu I will probably use that for main pages like home page, donate, online store, etc. and a customized menu on the side for browsing and features. Then a bottom menu for things like privacy policy, terms of use, etc. Any ideas of a good template and changes I can make? Also, I was debating keeping my current name, I like it but seems too long. If I did change it, can I apply a 301 direct?
