I think my Yola Boost has either given up or crashed somehow

I paid for the Yola Boost the day it was released which I believe was 5-7 week's a go. I have about 200 search engines on my list and every single one still is highlighted in red and the status at the top say's 'waiting'.

Now I'm not been funny but I find it really strange that out of 200 odd search engines etc my website still has not been accepted by a single one in over a month - something weird is happening.

Can somebody from Yola please access my account and look into this for me please?

Hello worldlad

Please note that it can take 60-90 days for you to get listed. No need to worry yet, but please let us know if it doesn't change later.

Could you at least just look into my account and make sure everything is ok, I can't risk this going wrong.

Hello worldlad

Using your Get Satisfaction e-mail address, I was only able to find a Yola Free account which cannot have Local Boost. Do you have another Yola account for which you could provide your login e-mail or URL of a published site?

Hi worldlad,

I took a look at your Local Boost settings and everything looks in order. Your listing was submitted less than 30 days ago so your current status is completely normal. As indicated in your Local Boost screen, submissions can take up to 90 days.

I have an additional update for you on this. While digging deeper into your account we were able to see that all of your information was indeed submitted properly to the directories but there is an issue with reporting these submissions for UK users due to a problem from our upstream provider. They are working to resolve their reporting problem and in the meantime we are removing the reporting from the Local Boost page for UK users altogether. I can imagine your disappointment regarding your reduced visibility to see the progress of your submissions and we're happy to make an exception to our refund policy should you wish to cancel Local Boost because of this. Please advise.

Dear Laura,

Thank you for getting back to me and your honesty in this matter, I did have a feeling something wasn't right for the main fact my website was not submitted to a single directory within 30 day's.

If you can give me a rough timescale that this issue maybe sorted out, I would prefer to keep my submission ongoing as I think the local boost is a great idea but just a little upset that since it's been launched there has been so many technical issues especially for UK users.

Maybe once this issue has been resolved if you could provide me with a few free months local boost I would be happy with rather than processing a refund.

Also if you could let me know what you mean by your cancelling UK users from reporting local boost feature?

Thanks

The good news is that your site is being successfully submitted. The bad news is that you can't see the results on your MyYola Local Boost page. What this means is that the reporting indicating where your site has been submitted does not work for UK or Canadian subscribers. This is a third party issue and out of our control. All we can do in the meantime is simply remove the report indicating where your site has been submitted from the Local Boost page which reduces your visibility. We will put reporting back in place once the third party issue is resolved.

We have already issued you a refund for your Local Boost subscription and added a free year of Local Boost to your account.

It seems that one should only be billed after the site is accepted...in all fairness!

Hi Kathryn,

We appreciate your feedback, but that's not how this service functions. While I fully appreciate the anticipation and frustration in waiting to see the listing results of the site submissions, Local Boost is working hard behind the scenes to make it all happen.

Also, thought I'd add our partners information on the length of the submission process:

As the directories and search engines each have varying data refresh schedules, we suggest 60 to 90 days as a general guideline. Some directories may change the information within weeks, but others refresh their data on longer schedules. We cannot control that, but we can assure you we will make the data available to the publishers and database vendors as quickly as their schedules permit.

I didn't realize you were the same as megamix and worldlad....so many different profiles are a bit confusing.

Local Boost was never "not working" for UK users. I tried to explain in my last reply that submissions are functioning properly, we are simply unable to show reporting for UK users:

"The good news is that your site is being successfully submitted. The bad news is that you can't see the results on your MyYola Local Boost page. What this means is that the reporting indicating where your site has been submitted does not work for UK or Canadian subscribers. This is a third party issue and out of our control.
