Thanks Ken!

Yes, for your site to be live on the Internet you will need to publish it at which time you will be able to choose a domain name. To publish click on the yellow Publish Site button.

Let us know if you have any troubles!

Hi Patricia

I can see your site! Here's the screenshot of what I can see:

It looks like you've got the bones but now you need to add the content. You can do this by using the widgets on the right hand side under "content". This will help you to personalize your site. You will be able to add text, images, html coding, and other fun stuff like slideshows and widgets.

Please feel free to ask for assistance whenever you need it. I hope you have fun building your site.

Hi Patricia,

The picture that littleus has posted is of your published site. If you would like to make changes to your site, you need to log in to your account and do that in the site builder.

You can add things to your site using the widgets which you will find in the sidebar at the right of the screen. For example, here is how to add writing to your page:

To add text to your site:

1. Drag and drop a text widget from the sidebar on the right onto your page (it looks like a piece of writing paper and a pen).
2. Click inside the green text box and start typing or paste your text.
3. Use the text editing toolbar to format your text. This toolbar looks like a toolbar you will have seen in any word processor you might have used and it displays across the top of your page whenever you click on a text widget.

Please note that if you copy and paste directly from a program like MS Word the formatting of the text is very likely to break your page. The best way to avoid this is to first copy and paste into a program like Notepad (you should find it in the accessories folder of your computer). This will strip out any unwanted formatting and you can then safely paste into the text widget.

Have you had a chance to look at the Yola Support page? Here is the link http://www.yola.com/support.html you may find some information there to help you.

Of course, if you get stuck you can always comment on this thread here and we will do our best to assist you.

hi Patricia... what I would suggest is to view other people's sites on yola to get some ideas in creating a site... mine is http://youcanneverbetoosmart.synthasi... ... the yola users and employees in this forum are very good at creating sites and working with you on many different topics. I've come to the conclusion that you can't get all of your answers from one person... but with everyone available on this forum you should some how be able to get an answer for everything.... an example... my first site ... http://learnmartialartsonline.synthas... ve improved in a matter of 4 months and still improving every day... thanks to the users and employees available on this forum. Exactly what are you trying to do with your site?
