I want to cancel my current domain name with Yola and open a new one?

I recently set up a business which I have decided to close as it isn't taking of. I'm very happy with my Yola website and the services I receive from Yola and would like to stay with them.

I now want to concentrate on another business I have but I do not have a domain name registered or website and so wonder if I could transfer/cancel my current domain name and start over with a new domain name and website for my other business.

Is this something I can do without incurring additional costs?

Hi Tanya,

We're so glad to hear you are enjoying our service! Once a domain is registered it is not possible to cancel it, this is the nature of domains and something that is beyond our control. The domain will remain registered to you until its expiry though you can always change the website it is associated with.

Since you registered simplytealightful.co.uk through the GBBO program, the domain registration was free, however you are only entitled to one free domain through the GBBO program.

As I see you also upgraded your account to Yola Silver, you do have the ability to create up to 25 websites, so you can easily create a new business website for your next venture, but you will need to register a new custom domain for it unless you wish to publish your website to our free .yolasite subdomain.

I will message you direct with a discount code you can use towards a new custom domain assuming that is your preference.
