Hello guys,

Currently im using Wix as my website builder and i have a website with my own domain/adsense account etc. I dont want to use Wix anymore and i want to build my website in yola with the same domain name. I will create the website and transfer my content then close wix account.

The thing is, will it be a problem for my adsense account? And also i was in first page with some keywords in google will it damage it if i transfer everything to yola under the same domain name?

And last thing whats gonna happen to my google webmaster tools and analytics accounts?

I know i asked so many questions but i really liked yola and i really want to solve my problems to be able to use it.

thanks in advance

Hello info.gamercentury,

That's great that you are coming to Yola to build your site, I think you will enjoy it! Thanks for your patience while we took at look at your query. To answer your questions:

1. If you keep your domain published to your Wix site until you complete your Yola site and then point the domain to your Yola site and publish there will most likely be no change in your search engine rankings as the domain will not be unpublished for much time at all. However, that's not to say if your content changes your rankings wouldn't change as well. It's important to note on this point that it is unlikely there will be a change in rankings you have already developed, but the search engines are their own beings and we can never say 100% that we know how they will behave :)

2. You will be able to add AdSense to your Yola website pages using the AdSense widget in the Sitebuilder. As the domain is remaining the same you should not have to make any changes to your AdSense account.

3. If your domain is already verified with Google Webmaster that's great, however, you should go through the verification process in Yola as we require you to use the meta tag option and it's best to keep it on your site's pages for when Google re-spiders your site. You can also then submit a sitemap as Yola creates an xml sitemap for you.

4. Your Google Analtytics account won't have to change at all, you'll just need to get your Analytics code and add it to each of your Yola site pages so that once the site is published to the domain name Google can continue returning your statistics.

Here are some tutorials I believe will be helpful:

1. Publish to a domain you already own
2. Verifying your site with Google Webmaster and submitting a sitemap
3. Adding Google AdSense
4. Adding Analytics

We hope you enjoy building your site with us and please let us know if you have further questions.

Kind Regards,
Emmy
