the problem I have with pointing my domain name to Synthasite, he needs to change the server numbers... I am very frustrated at this point. I read, and did everything 2 times, and I called them. So what do I do now?

Hi Elegofyore,

GoDaddy are not giving you the right information unfortunately - here are the steps to setting up your A Record to point to SynthaSite:
1. Go to the GoDaddy website
2. Under 'Domains' on the menu choose 'My Domains'. This will take you to your GoDaddy domain manager.
# NOTE: at this stage you may be required to login
3. From the 'Domain Manager' interface, click on the domain you want to edit
4. Now click: Click on 'Total DNS Control and MX Records'
5.Now you need to edit your A record. Click on the icon in the section: A("host")
6. In the box where it says "Points To Ip Address:" put the SynthaSite IP: 208.75.208.172 and click OK
7. Your domain should now point to SynthaSite. You can test if this has worked by typing your domain into your browser. If all has worked correctly you should end up at the SynthaSite homepage. Don't be too worried if this is not the case, bear in mind that DNS changes, like you have just made, can take up to 48 hours to propagate through the internet.

Please click here for a really useful tutorial outlining the steps to getting your domain: http://www.synthasite.com/tutorials/p....

Thank you Marije,

I did this about 3 times yesturday before I called GoDaddy, and nothing. So at this point I guess I will wait the 48 hours to see if anything happens. Is there anyway a staff member can check to see if www.vintageofyore.com is working?

Thank you

Hi Elegofyore - I see your site! If you're still seeing the GoDaddy page on your side, click on the Refresh button in your browser.

Wow I am really impressed with your nested tables with image borders on your FAQ page. They really look fantastic and make the page look very professional.

The only thing I would pass along to you is to center some of your text under some of the images on your index page.

All in all a great site. Very impressed with the tables... Very, Very

If my Mother was still alive I would surely be shopping from you for her...;)

Keep it up
Ed

Great job Elegofyore,

The text looks so much nicer centered under your images on your site. Very professional and pleasing. Good job

Something to keep in mind though about music on any website. I agree that it is nice and I quite enjoy it but for those who are in their office at work, in a library or late at night while everyone is asleep this may actually cause them to click the backspace on their browser and not return to your great site. I played around with music myself and found it hindered more than it helped me.

Just a thought...

Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see what you are going to do for some new pages on your site.

Happy site building
Ed
